Mahadevan Ramanan

Mahadevan began his Carnatic music vocal training in Chennai under the tutelage of Late. Ananthalakshmi Chella. His musical journey continued in Kuwait under Guru Anuradha Venkatakrishnan. He has been learning this exotic art from her for more than six years. Under her guidance, Mahadevan successfully performed his Arangetram in Chennai during July 2013. He has proved his excellence on several stages both in solo and group performances and has won various prizes. He was also blessed with a rare opportunity to perform in Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam under the guidance of Rama Seshadri.

He is a passionate cricketer and enjoys spending time in nurturing his talent. He is studying eleventh standard in DPS School, Kuwait.

Mahadevan is performing on December 18, 2014 6 PM, at Carmel School, Kuwait.

Guru:
Anuradha Venkatakrishnan began her formal training in vocal music and veena from Devakottai Dhanammal at the age of 8. She earned her Master's Degree in Music from Queen Mary's College, Chennai.

She learnt both music as well as the basics of teaching from her mentor Sulochana Sampath. Later on in her career, she also had the opportunity to learn Carnatic Music from famous violinist, Parur Venkataraman. Her keen interest to study the nuances of Tamizh Isai, took her to the Tamizh Isai College, which helped her to learn Tamizh compositions. Notable performances include programs in the All India Radio, Narada Gana Sabha and The Music Academy. She has given concerts in Kuwait during the navarathri celebrations.

Anuradha has been teaching Carnatic Music over the past 17 years. As she introduces and teaches music to the young buds, befittingly, her music school has been named as Akshipthika, a Sanskrit word, which means Introducing. She has organized music programmes in Kuwait & India to provide a launching platform for her students to showcase their music talents.

Vivrd Prasanna

Vivrd Prasanna is a Eighth grader at Pine Valley Middle School , San Ramon, California USA and has been learning vocal carnatic music for the past 9.5 years.

Vivrd started learning vocal carnatic with Smt. Geetha Iyer (Geetha Vidyalaya), Shri Vivek Sundararaman and Shri Hari Devanath. He is currently under the tutelage of Sri Neyveli R Santhana Gopalan.

Vivrd has performed during the December 2014 and 2015 Music Season at Chennai . He was given an opportunity to perform in Marghazhi Mahautsavam 2015 at Chennai.

He is the Title winner of "Carnatic Music Idol 2014 USA ". Vivrd is also a third prize winner in the "Concert Competition" held by Cleveland Aradhana Festival.

Vivrd has participated in several Bay Area music events and also across North America. He has won several prizes in different categories at Cleveland Aradhana festival and Papanasam Sivan Competitions.

Vivrd also learns to play the Veena from Sri Srikanth Chary and learned Mridangam from Sri Ramesh Srinivasan.

Sanjay Suresh

Sanjay Suresh is 11 years old, and is a sixth grader at Kromrey Middle School, WI. He has been learning Carnatic vocal music from his mother Vanitha Suresh since the age of 3.

He began his initial violin learning from Shri. Srinivasa Murthy at the age of six, and has been learning violin under the tutelage of Shri. Chitravina N Ravikiran since 2012.

Sanjay won the 1st prize for Krtis in the prestigious Cleveland Tyagaraja Aradhana in 2014 and second in the Alapana (raga improvisation) competition in 2015.

He stood first in Sangeet Samrat Instrumental category at the regional level, and third at the National level. at He has participated in North American Melharmonic Orchestra (NAMO), Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam, and actively participates in local community events. Sanjay loves Mathematics and Ice Hockey.

SaiKiran & SaiNivedita

"gAna pravINa" Sai Sisters (SaiKiran & SaiNivedita)

Kiran and Nivi are Carnatic vocal disciples of "Sangeetha Seva Ratna" Dr.C.M. Venkatachalam, "Sangeetha Shironmani" Smt. Gayathri Venkataraghavan and  layam disciple of “Nada Oli” Sri Melakkaveri K Balaji. They are finalists of Carnatic Music Idol USA in year 2012. They have also won prizes in various categories in the year 2014 &  2015 Cleveland Tyagaraja Aradhana competitions. They also participated in the Margazhi festival in Detroit -2014 organized by iCarnatic. They have given many concerts in the west coast region. They are winners of the Carnatic premier league " Sangeeth Samraat" in duo category. They are recipients of the prestigious Indian Raga scholarship  2015. Recently they have given concerts in the December season in Chennai & Coimbatore.

Apart from this Kiran & nivi have been singing Sai bhajans right from the age of two and a half. They have released their debut Sai bhajan CD "Raga Sudha Rasa". Both have tuned Abhangs and have composed and tuned their own Sai bhajans. Kiran & Nivi also learn western classical and have given a solo performance at the Vienna International Advent Ceremony-2013 in Vienna, Austria in December 2013. They also had the great opportunity to sing the worldwide theme song for CRY organization in 2012 . Apart from this Kiran & Nivi have been singing Sai bhajans right from the age of two and a half.

Kiran & Nivi are Juniors in West View High California. Both Kiran & Nivi   aspire to grow more in their musical journey.
